  • Keep Iran Online.

    IDC is advised by Yasmin Green (CEO of Jigsaw at Google), Reza Ghazinouri (Security & Privacy Expert), and partnering with a team of Iranian activists in tech, and is fundraising for the provision of VPNs to Iranians on the ground. Net proceeds from the fundraising campaign are going to Holistic Resilience 501(c)(3), to expand VPN access to Iranians on-the-ground and to innovate new approaches to circumventing government blocking.

  • "Her Name Became A Code for Freedom"

    In September 2023, IDC unveiled a series of digital billboards in Times Square, New York City, to commemorate a year since Jina Mahsa Amini’s death and the Woman, Life, Freedom protests. The billboards feature Jina Mahsa Amini, Nika Shakarami, Sarina Esmailzadeh, and Kian Pirfalak.

  • "This is not a protest, it's a revolution"

    In September 2022, the Iranian government shut down the internet and blocked social media sites to prevent Iranian people from sharing their experiences of brutal government violence and oppression. In response, we launched our inaugural project - a billboard media campaign designed to be media-worthy and raise visibility and awareness around the Woman, Life, Freedom movement in Iran.

  • Press & Media.

    At the onset of September 2022 protests, part of the mission of the grassroots-formed group that would become IDC was to campaign for coverage and amplification of the on-the-ground reality in Iran through broadcast and mainstream media. Our team placed dozens of media hits across broadcast, digital, and print, while simultaneously building relationships directly with journalists and producers to continue channeling content & sources.

  • @iraniandiasporacollective

    In tandem with our public relations efforts, we launched @iraniandiasporacollective in October 2022 to support our out-of-home campaign. Our social media platform quickly evolved into a community page to amplify news, real stories, calls to action, and uplift and empower Iranians throughout the world.

  • Living Document.

    To support continual, fact-based coverage that reflects on-the-ground realities, we created a living document and resource, to promote media literacy, awareness and facilitate access to information on-the-ground sources, citizen journalists, and human rights organizations, with translations in English.

  • Iran Prison Project.

    In partnership with Wongdoody, an award-winning, international advertising agency, to launch Iran Prison Project, an immersive, interactive experience created to document and share the living testimonies and stories of political prisoners held in Iranian prisons. The virtual experience was created using artificial intelligence and original art, with testimonies voiced by Iranian voice actors.

  • Awe Inspired x idc.

    For Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, Awe Inspired introduced the “Sheerzan Necklace” in solidarity with Iranian women fighting for freedom and equality. The word Sheerzan, translates to Lioness in Persian and through the symbolism of a lioness, to inspire strength, bravery, determination, and promote awareness and support of the ongoing fight for civil liberties in Iran.
